How to choose a recovery house

Ask who is actually on site at 3 a.m., and whether they are a nurse. Ask how many guests share that nurse. Ask to see the room you will sleep in. Ask how they reach your surgeon. Ask for the price in writing. Then compare.

Day by day at the Haven

Day one: pickup, vitals, medication, and a nurse through the night. Day two: the first walk, the first shower with help, real food. Day three: massage if cleared, drains checked, an update to your surgeon. Then home, or more nights if you want them.
